Words that Work.

Hi, I'm Cole,

A freelance writer, editor, and creative consultant living in the Seattle area.

I have close to a decade of experience in writing copy, resumes, and business correspondence and am a certified grant writer with 13 years of nonprofit experience behind me. I work with businesses and nonprofits ranging from small corporations to individual practitioners to help develop and implement branding, create content for websites, and craft marketing materials geared to presenting themselves to potential supporters.

In addition to my professional services, I provide creative coaching and editing to those looking for a little extra help with creative work. A former instructor with the Bent Writing Institute, I favor a gentle approach that seeks to identify and support the things already working in a piece. I have assisted fiction writers, poets, and essayists in brushing up their work and honing their craft and have a special love for encouraging the talent of others.

When I'm not creating or editing content I'm working on my 2 acre homestead, throwing pots around in the kitchen, or backpacking in the beautiful Central Cascades. Follow me on Facebook or Instagram to keep up with my adventures.
